Our troop is committed to developing leadership skills, fostering friendships, and instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law — and we do it the best way we know how: outside.
Every month during the school year we load the trailer and head out — BSA camps, state parks, and national forests within 200 miles of Houston. We leave Friday evening and roll back Sunday. In between, Scouts run their own meetings, plan their own menus, lead their own patrols, and learn the kind of self-reliance you can't teach indoors.
